This will brighten up your day and is a wonderful insight into the sorts of activities children have been doing during the school closure. An artifact for the future when we all look back on these times.
The slideshow is best viewed on a laptop so the music can play along in the background.

Thank you to Ms. Willis and 1st class for preparing this for your enjoyment.
First Class enjoyed working with pastels in order to create their beautiful entry for the annual RSA Ireland design a poster activity. The competition is aimed at developing road safety for First Class children. The class used the “buckle up” slogan incorporated into their character's seatbeat, in order to ingrain the message of seatbelt safely. Miss Willis took a few photographs of the poster just in case it is sent off and never seen again!
In other news, on Wednesday the 12th of February, First Class will take a trip to Bandon library. They will be accompanied by Second Class who are also looking forward to the excursion. The children will be given a guided tour of the library by the librarian and those who do not have a library card will be given the opportunity to get one. First Class having been learning about the importance of reading books and understand reading is a gateway to furthering their knowledge.
The children have been learning about global warming and air pollution and worked to make a cool rap: Click on this link to watch the First Class doing their performance promoting the importance of clean Air for all: https://youtu.be/XLTWBLyr35Y
Also the children were thinking about why it is important to try to be in school every day and they designed this amazing poster to remind the whole school why Every School Day Counts.
