Fourth Class News
Fourth Class have been busy over the last few weeks.
We completed an interesting EGGperiment in Science all about 'Which liquid does the most damage to eggshells?' Eggshells represented the enamel on our teeth, which can be worn down by different liquids over time, especially if they're acidic or sugary.
We experimented with vinegar, milk, orange juice, water, and cola and observed the results. We also began learning about the scientific method, in preparation for our Science Blast.
Fourth Class have been busy doing lots of exciting things this term.
Sna ranganna Gaeilge, táimid ag caint faoin téama nua ‘Sa Bhaile’. Scríobhamar scéalta chomh mhaith bunaithe ar an téama ‘Ag cócaráil’. Táimid ag obair go dian sa seomra ranga agus tá frása na seachtaine againn gach seachtaine. Táimid ag úsáid Gaeilge le chéile i rith an lae agus tá sé sin go breá.
In S.E.S.E, we are learning about Myths and Legends and Co. Kildare. We designed fact files and coloured the Kildare crest. Our preparation for the Science Blast, which happens in May in Co. Limerick, is well underway. We are brainstorming ideas for our class question and we have some creative and inspirational ideas for research. We will update you soon with our class question
4th class are researching Bandon town at the moment and working on group posters to show our research.
Each group has a designated researcher who is compiling facts and information from the iPad.
We are working really well together.
We also came up with some great things to include on our posters which will help up to keep ourselves on track.
