2nd Class: Southern Star Story writing project - Santa Moves To West Cork
Today we worked on a project. We wrote stories for the Southern Star writing project. The title of the story in the project was, "Santa Moves To West Cork." We brain-stormed lots of different ideas with our teacher Rona Coghlan, and then we wrote our stories. We created two different pieces of art to go along with our stories. Here are some of our stories for you to read!
Santa Moves to West Cork
Santa was in bed. He heard a loud cough. He woke up. He asked, “what was that cough?” Mrs Claus said it was the reindeers coughing. They ran outside quickly. All of the reindeers were coughing and sneezing. They were hot and cold. Santa put blankets over the reindeers, and they flew to West Cork. They went to the vet. The vet said that the reindeers had COVID-19. Santa and his wife bought a house. Santa was able to drop the presents to the children quickly because West Cork was nearer to the children's houses. Santa and his wife Mrs Claus lived happily ever after.

One morning Santa was looking at Tic Toks. He saw a lovely place called West Cork. It had green grass and trees. There were lots of different colours to look at. Santa thought, I would like to live somewhere where everything is not covered in snow. I am going to move to West Cork.
Santa told his plan to the elves. There is lots of space for us to build a new toy factory. We can go shopping in the different towns. We can eat lots of lovely food in the restaurants. The elves were very excited. There is lots of grass for reindeers to eat and lots of space for you to play. Everyone was so excited. They loved their new home in West Cork.
