BBNS VEX Finals - Thursday 7th April
A big day in the VEX project is coming up this Thursday! The five teams have been preparing their robots and programs since October. Now its time to show all their hard work on the VEX arena! Of course, let's not forget that the winning robot will progress to the Regional Finals in MTU this May, supported by the whole class... There's a lot at stake!
Here is the poster which Andreea skillfully designed using Photoshop - didn't she do a fantastic job?!

The five teams will be competing in three challenges on the day, which will mirror the Regional Final competition:
Robot Skills Challenge - 60 seconds - one robot takes the field to score as many points as possible while being controlled by two drivers, sharing 30 seconds each.
Programming Skills Challenge - 60 seconds - one robot at a time - operated autonomously using the students' previously designed and tested programs, to score as many points as possible.
Teamwork Challenge - Two robots compete in the Teamwork Challenge as an alliance in 60 second long teamwork matches, working collaboratively to score points.

There will be plenty of awards to pick up as well - such as:
Robot Skills Champion Award
Teamwork Champion Award
Programming Skills Champion Award
Engineering Log Book Award
and many more, to recognise the students' amazing achievements over the course of the project.
It promises to be an exciting day in school, and we hope that it will be enjoyed by all!
