BBNS win Best STEM Project Video at VEX National Finals!

On Wednesday 22nd February, 5th Class in Bandonbridge NS travelled to Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork to compete in the VEX National Finals.

The first students arrived at 8.45 in the morning, and we were competing all day until we finally left at 4pm!

It was a fantastic day filled with the very best of STEM creativity and robotics. Here were our two amazing drivers, Rohan and Matthew, in action!

We had such a fun day, and enjoyed working with other teams to get the best scores possible on the day. To top it all off, we ended up winning the STEM Project, meaning that the judges voted our STEM Project Video as the best out of over 200 schools that entered the VEX competition this year!

This is an immense achievement, and congratulations to Conor, George, Conner and Anastasiia on their fabulous work. If you would like to see the winning video again, see below!
The students were tired but happy heading home from Páirc Uí Chaoimh with the trophy in their hands. A fantastic way to cap off all the hard work put into VEX this year. We have all learnt so much about Engineering, robotics, programming and STEM. Have a look at a slideshow containing more photos of our big day out here!
