Science Experiment – Energy and Forces: 4th Class

Materials needed: Template of a clown on card paper, colours, a scissors, blue tac and coins.

This week we were studying Gravity. We learned that all objects have a balancing point called the centre of gravity.

Method:

1. We coloured our clowns and cut out the template.

2. We tried balancing the clown on our fingers but it kept falling.

3. When we used blue tac to stick the coins onto the clown we were able to balance our clowns.

Conclusion: By lowering the centre of gravity we were able to balance our clowns.
