SEAI Workshops 5th Class

5th Class

On the 6th of December we were visited by SEAI to present a workshop on Energy. The workshop was divided into three sections. We first looked at where we get our energy from, distinguished renewable and non renewable energy and how CO2 has affected out environment.

We then looked at some experiments. The experiments focused on how energy is used in every action. As we worked with gravity and chemistry we explored how energy can be transferred into different forms such as sound, kinaesthetic and vibration.

In the third part of our workshop, we played a game. It was a game that tested our knowledge of energy in both science and day to day living.

Best of all, the children of fifth class were very engaged with Aisling from SEAI and they had loads of answers and questions for her.
