In R.E. we are learning about how God uses farmers to provide food for us and to look after the countryside. In English we discussed how farmers help make Christmas special by growing food and Christmas trees. We wrote stories about the farmer who saved Christmas. Here are a few of our stories.
The star farmer by Jenny
Farmer Emma was working very hard. She planted lots and lots of food for Christmas dinner. She lived in Bandon Hill. It was Christmas Eve. It was time to harvest all the food. Suddenly there was a big crash and Tiny The Giant walked over the hill. Tiny The Giant started to eat the food. Santa came to help Farmer Emma. She called Santa to stop Tiny The Giant eating the food. Then farmer Emma and Santa were able to save all the food for everyone for their Christmas dinner. Christmas was saved.
The Christmas tree that nearly died by Jacob
Farmer Ronaldo planted lots of Christmas trees. He dug lots of holes and put the trees into them. He made sure that there was plenty of water to keep the trees alive in the summer. He picked lots of weeds. The trees grew really tall. Suddenly lots of animals broke out from the farm. There were deer, pigs and donkeys. They saw the delicious Christmas trees and they ran over to try and eat them. Santa realised that the Christmas trees were going to be damaged. He flew quickly in his magic sleigh. He tied a big net around the Christmas trees to keep them safe from the escaped animals. The Christmas trees were saved.
The Christmas tree incident by Joseph
It was 5 days before Christmas. Farmer John was really looking forward to Christmas. In the North Pole there was a naughty deer who decided to run away. He flew through the sky. The naughty deer landed on Farmer John's farm. The naughty deer saw lots of yummy Christmas trees to eat. “Oh no,” said Farmer John. “There will be no Christmas trees left for Christmas.” Farmer John had a brilliant idea. He gathered lots of Christmas trees that were not used anymore to distract the naughty deer. Then he called Santa. “Can you bring your deer back to the North Pole?” Santa came and took the deer home and all the Christmas trees were saved.
Finn The Farmer Saves Christmas by Finn
Farmer Finn was walking around his farm. He looked at all the vegetables growing for Christmas dinners. He had worked so hard to plant them. He had watered and weeded them. He looked at the sky. A snowflake fell. Then a big snowstorm came. Farmer Finn could not see the food in the field anymore. There was too much snow. He could not harvest it. Suddenly Santa appeared. Santa said, “call Rudolph.” Rudolph used his glowing nose so that Finn could see to harvest the food. Farmer Finn, Santa and Rudolph saved everyone’s Christmas dinners.
Farmer Simon Saves Christmas by Simon
Farmer Simon was in his field. There were lots of vegetables growing. A plane was in the sky. It crashed into the field. The people didn’t survive. There were pirate ships. They shot canon balls at the farmer. Then the blue pirates took over the red pirate ship. The red ship sank. Farmer Simon said, “thank you.” He picked all the vegetables and sent it to the shops for Christmas.
The end

She went to her house and she drank hot chocolate with marshmallows on the top. Next, she went outside and she drank her hot chocolate outside. Santa came to visit her with his reindeers. He blew away the snow with the reindeers so that Farmer Jazmina could pick the vegetables. She said, “thank and goodbye Santa.” Santa said, “I am looking forward to eating cookies and drinking milk on Christmas Eve.” “I will milk the cows for you,” said Farmer Jazmina, “so you have lots of milk.”
