Active Week at Bandonbridge National School

This week, Bandonbridge National School is celebrating Active Week, a fun-filled event organised by our dedicated Wellbeing Committee. The committee members are Ms Coghlan, Ms Roche, Ms O'Neill, Ms Rachel O'Sullivan, Yvonne and Mandy along with Jacob, Joseph, Csenge, Matthew, Natalia, Robert, Amelia and Kinga.

Active Week is all about celebrating the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle. Being active helps us to stay healthy, feel happy, and build strong friendships through sport, dance, and enjoyable activities. Throughout the week, pupils have been taking part in a wide range of exciting events and challenges designed to get everyone moving and having fun.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this special week possible. In particular, we are grateful to those who generously volunteered to lead activities and Active Days: Rachel O'Sullivan and her mum, Freda O'Neil, Aideen Maden, Paula Glavin, and Belinda Jennings with the Student Council.

There is something for everyone to enjoy, with activities including Zumba, Tennis, Run a Mile, Soccer, Co-Operative Games, Obstacle Courses, and the ever-popular Ten at Ten, led daily by Mandy and Yvonne.

The enthusiasm, energy and participation shown by all pupils will make Active Week a wonderful success. It is fantastic to see everyone challenging themselves, trying new activities, and having fun together.

Well done to all involved, and thank you for helping to make Active Week such a memorable and enjoyable experience for our school community!
